cool pic

I love this photo. Both men are intriguing and always have interesting things to say.

late 15th century engravings

I love old engravings like these because they are visually pleasing, witty, and fantastical. They are infused with history, a slice of life from a long time ago.

A famous late 15th century German engraver was only known by his initals E.S. and is now referred to as Master E.S. He did a beautiful alphabet , known as The Fantastic Alphabet; these are a few of the letters. The 'n' (first one) satirizes the clergy.

night walk

I realized on a walk around the block tonight that I've been becoming more self-aware, the way I used to be. When I was little sometimes I would stop and realize "I am me" and get freaked out. Like mentally slapping yourself in the face.

I've been getting that realization more lately, but I dont get scared.

If you dont know what I'm talking about, take a moment to think what makes you tick- your brain? You are all that is you. Another way to do it is to stare at yourself in the mirror for a while and really realize that that person is you.

As I turned the corner back onto my street, I was thinking that I wanted to run into a cat. I thought about this really hard for a few seconds in hopes that it would happen. Guess what? Halfway down the block two cats ran in front of me, and one of them stopped and we stared at each other for a while. I love cats so much.

I think it was a female. She looked alot like this, except her expression had a level of surprise that gave it more intensity:

While black cats are my favorite, I always see myself in orange and white females. Wonder what that means.

the nature of time

This hasn't happened to me, but many people report meeting someone and feeling that they have known them for a very long time. This is easily explained if you think of it as proof of past lives. However, it could just be proof that time is not linear. Maybe the two are the same. Are we living several different lives at this very moment?

I really like Edward Hopper. This painting in particular caught my attention:

Empty Room by Edward Hopper

I love the brushstrokes and the way it captures that time of night when the trees seem to whisper with secrets. Something tells me it's more than just an empty room.
